Classic Gaming Sega Style! Sega Genesis\CD\32X - Relive the Classics!

Shining Force III Title Screen

Shining Force III is a Strategy RPG that was released for the Sega Saturn. This game is a continuation of an awesome series that started on the Genesis and Game Gear and has amassed a huge following of fans. The game contained 3 Scenarios which all tied together, each scenario was released separately but if you purchased all three you could obtain the Premium Disk which is like a bonus disc containing extra music, videos, artwork, and an extra battle mode. The battle mode allows you to choose 12 characters from any of the 3 scenarios to create a team and then battle against some of the more challenging enemies.

Unfortunately for fans of the series outside of the Japan the game was never fully translated and released in the US or Europe and as such long time fans have never been able to finish the game. Many groups and individuals have tried to translate the scenarios but came up empty as the game used a difficult compression/encryption technique to store the in-game text.

Now that the process for translating the game has been discovered work continues on the Translation project. This is very exciting news for all Shining Force fans! For all the latest and most up to date informaiton on the project you should visit the appropriate forum area at Shining Force Central: Shining Force Translation Project

Update! (03/09/2010) The transaltion project also now has a website with more information: Shining Force III Translation Project I recomend you visit this site and the forum links for the most up to date progress on the project.

.Shining Force Final Conflict Title Screen

Shining Force: Final Conflict is a game previous to SFIII. Final Conflict made its debute on the Game Gear and of course never made it out of Japan. The game serves to tie together Shining Force I and Shining Force II. You will see mamy aspects (Towns, characters, etc..) from both games included in this one. As it is a Game Gear game the graphics are not the best but the game is extremly fun to play, especially if you have played through SF1 and SF2.

Fortunalty Z80 and Mooige from Shining Force Central have managed to work together and create a patch for this game! You can now play the game in english and easily follow the story. If you have never played this game now is the time! You can find the information on how to patch it on the top menu, (SF Final Conflict Patch). This patch is 99% - 100% complete.

The game is playable through various PC emulators and via SMS Plus v.2 on the Dreamcast. (You can play the game on your DC on the TV, Guides for this will be available soon) The game should be playable very soon on an actual game gear using a flash cartridge
