FAQ

Q: Can you hold an item for me?
A: In most cases yes! I usually have no problem holding an item for someone for a few days or even in certain circumstances a few weeks. I realize that Classic Gaming is probably not everyone’s top financial priority so holding an item until you can scrape up the extra cash is something I can totally relate with.

Q: I want some items that are either out of stock or you don’t list, can you help me?
A: Again, in most cases the answer to this is yes! If you are interested in some items I don’t stock, just let me know and I can try to track something down for you. Its not realistic for me to have a large stock on a large number of things so if you need something else just ask.

Q: I bought a Modchip\ Accessory from you, will you help me install \ use it?
A: Absolutely, I have a guide I put together just for this reason! If you want more help or having something that’s not covered I will be glad to try and help you. I will try and help you with any technical info you need on anything you buy from me.

Q: What happens if my item arrives and does not work or is damaged?
A: You can contact me ASAP and let me know what the problem is. I will work with you to solve the problem. Typically these are our options:
1. Return the item for a full refund.
2. Return the item for me to repair or replace.
3. I can help you troubleshoot the issue and possible fix/solve the issue yourself.

Q: What is the return policy?
A: Items are covered by me to the original buyer up to 15 days after the purchase date. In most cases the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs of damaged items and I am responsible for the shipping costs of the replacement item. If you desire a refund, the item must be returned to me (you are responsible for return shipping) and you will be refunded the total original purchase price including the original shipping.

Q: What condition are your Pre Modded Saturns?
A: They are all prior owned and used. I clean them up and they are all in good working \ cosmetic shape. I test the consoles when I mod them to make sure they are working, and I again test them before packaging them up after receiving your order.

Q: Are the items you sell new or used? Are they original Sega or third party?
A: The items I have are all mainly used due to the age of the Saturn. I try to stock as much original Sega manufactured products as possible, but as these items have been out of production for years is nearly impossible to find some of these items made by Sega. Wherever applicable the items status is stated in the description.

Q: What exactly is the shipping fee used for?
A: Naturally 99% of what you pay for shipping goes to the actual cost of shipping the package, delivery confirmation, and packaging supplies. If anything is left over it goes to subsidize the Paypal fee and the resources I utilize to actually get your item to the shipping carrier. So no, I am not making any money on the shipping fee like some people do.

Q: I got my Saturn, but there was a CD in the system. What is this for?
A: I send a copied game out with most of my systems. The game is random and is included for troubleshooting purposes. If the console will play the backup game I included with it but not ones that you burn that means there is something wrong on your end and not with the console. I will not include specific games, so don’t ask!

Q: Why do you sell old Sega Stuff and why does Classic Gaming Sega Style exist?
A: Long story short, I grew up playing the likes of Sonic, Shining Force, and Phantasy Star games on my Genesis. I enjoy working with classic consoles and the fun people can still have playing them. Classic Gaming Sega Style is a hobby before it’s a business, which in my opinion is a good thing. I’m more interested in dealing with my customers and hearing the stories they have and helping them out than making a few extra bucks on old video game merchandise.
